Introducing Kaito Daniel Loux!!!!
Hello everyone, after a long wait we finally got to meet Kai face to face. Aki was a couple of days overdue, so we went out for some spicy food, a long walk in the rain, and a bumpy car ride Saturday night. Yummy hot wings. Then after we couldn't sleep she decieded we needed to go into the hospital where they made her walk around just to make sure and sure enough we were going to have a baby. Then she got to deal with lots of really painful contractions, try to break my fingers and scratch my back. Then mommy got a nice epidural for the pain and had a few moments of relief. After a couple of hours baby Kai was ready to come out and after "8 grueling minutes" of pushing he came right out. I think she could have beat the record and done it in 4 minutes but there was a student doctor there and the OB kept stopping to explain things to her as it was her first day as an intern and her first birth. Kai was born on Jan 6th at 9:47 AM, 6 lbs 5 oz and 19.75 inches long. He and mom are doing just fine. Dad has yet to recover.

No baby yet but..
Here is the latest Christmas picture of Aki's big belly. Due date is tomorrow but I think it will be late. We are headed to our doctors appointment tomorrow so maybe we will learn something.

No New Years Baby
Christmas and New Years have come and passed and we still haven't met baby Kai yet. Guess we will have to keep his presents for next year... but Tomo got some gifts from Santa. Offical due date is only a few days away.
